gearrank.net exists to make one thing easy: comparing products that are hard to compare on a shop page. 1,559 write-ups so far, 2,313 products, 833 brands. The busiest sections are Computers & Laptops, Cameras & Drones, PC Components & Storage.

The raw material

Three things go into every page: the specification the maker publishes, the price shown on the product listing at the time we read it, and the average score Amazon buyers have left. Nothing else.

What this site is not

There is no hands-on testing behind these pages. Build quality, noise, how a thing feels after six months — we cannot tell you any of that, because we have not touched the product.

The commercial part
